Biography contributed by Stephen Brooks

The son of Charles and Rachel Yeomans, of Canowindra, New South Wales. He spent most of his life in Woodstock, New South Wales.

His older brother 363 Pte. Bertram William Yeomans 17th Battalion was killed in action at Hill 60, Gallipoli on 27 August 1915.

The 30th Battalion was in a quiet sector near Messines in Belgium on the day Roy Yeomans died, presumably from shellfire.
