"...1188 Private Edward Thomas Hade, 38th Battalion. Pte Hade, a farmer from Bass Victoria, enlisted on 3 March 1916 and embarked from Port Melbourne aboard HMAT A54 Runic on 20 June 1916. He was transferred to the 59th Battalion and was killed in action in France on 30 November 1916." - SOURCE (www.awm.gov.au)
