William George Taylor
William George Taylor was born c1892 in Bowen Qld. His father was Frederick Charles Taylor with the only reference to his mother as Mrs. J. Taylor.
In his will he left all of his personal estate to his friend May McBride, Killarney, Ireland.
On his enlistment in Herberton, Queensland, he gave his age as 23 years 4 months, occupation was a Labourer and his next of kin his father Frederick Charles Taylor, Peel St., Mackay, later changed to Mulgrave, Queensland. His height was 5 feet 8 inches, weighed 10 stone 7 pounds with fair complexion, blue eyes and brown hair. His religion was Church of England.
William George Taylor was wounded by shrapnel on the 1 December 1915 at Gallipoli Peninsula, wounded on the 29 July 1916 and killed in action at Amiens on the 13 April 1918 by hostile air craft.
