Biography

Father: Alfred Knethel Foot and Mother: Mary Eleanor Foot (nee Madden - b. 5/6/1857)

Mary Eleanor (the youngest) arrived in Melbourne in 1879 and somehow ended up in QLD near her brother. She came out with her sister Janet Louisa (both "ladies" on the shipping records). Janet must have returned at some stage as she appears in the 1901 census but retained property in QLD as that is mentioned in her will extract.

Parents married in 1881, and lived at Cardington Station, via Townsville, Queensland.

18/9/1914        returned to Townsville,  owing to mutiny by members of ship's crew (firemen)
