Corporal Lewis H. Lewin entered the School in 1910. After spending some time in
the office of the Eastern Extension Telegraph Company he decide to prepare himself for the
entrance examination of the Royal Military College, Duntroon. With that end in view he
returned to school. The outbreak of the war was followed by the postponement of the
examination, and Lewin immediately offered himself as a volunteer
