Son of Michael and Katherine Cleary. Patrick was 10 months old when his father died leaving his mother to raise 10 children by herself.
Brother Joseph Bartholomew Cleary #634 enlisted in 1916 and served with the 4th Machine Gun Battalion.
His mother Katherine lived with her daughter Johanna Lilley - Johanna's husband William Lilley was an attendant at Morrisett Hospital.
