Son of Joseph Anthony Vanza and Caroline Wilhelmina Vanza nee Kurre of Warwick, QLD.

Brother of Frederick Camillus Diogenes Vanza who died of wounds on 14 September 1915 while serving with the 9th Battalion on   on board HS Nevasa. His name appears on the Lone  Pine Memorial, Panel 2; Vincent Vanza who served with the 2nd Light Horse Regiment and was discharged 14 October 1914.

Next of kin given as his sister Mabel Louise Vanza of Palmerin Street, Warwick, QLD.

Commenced return to australia on 2 September 1916 aboard HT Ascanius disembarking on 29 September 1916.

On 16 August 1921 Cisero married Louisa Ann Flack in QLD.
