917 Pte Philip Noel Pritchard of St Leonards, Tasmania

Schooled at the Hutchins School (Hobart)

Enlisted 22/1/15

Embarked 1/4/15 with the 4th Reinforcements 3rd Light Horse Regiment

Landed Gallipoli 6/8/15

Transferred to the Australian Army Provost Corps 1/1/17

Wounded in action and died later in the day  16/8/18 (shell wound left leg)

Buried Adelaide Cemetery, Villers Bretonneux Memorial, France

 

Only 14 members of the Australian Army Provost Corps (AAPC - Military Police) were Killed in Action or Died of their wounds in France & Belgium
