"MAN'S FATAL FALL.
Harold Joseph Hackett (45), a native of Gingin, died in the Perth Hospital yesterday from injuries to the head caused when he fell at the rear of a Hay-street hotel on Wednesday afternoon. When he was admitted to the hospital the extent of his injuries could not be ascertained, but during the night his condition became worse and his name was placed on the danger list early yesterday morning." - from the West Australian 23 Feb 1940 (nla.gov.au)
