Daughter of Dr James Hogg, Med Sup Goodna Mental Hospital; educated Ipswich Girls Grammar School; nurse trg Gen Hospital 1909-13; served Brit Red Cross 1915; enlisted AANS 1918, embarked on "Wyrema" for Salonica; nursed flu victums at Woodman's Point Quarantine Station, south of Fremantle W.A., and contracted disease.
She had 3 brothers who also served in WW1. One died of wounds in France.
