Biography contributed by Sharyn Roberts

CHAPLAIN OF THREE CHURCHES AUSTRALIAN CHOSEN
Representing three denominations--the Congregationalists, the Baptists, and the Church of Christ, Mr G. T.Walden, of the Church of Christ denomination, is to accompany the next Expeditionary Force to the front.
Mr Walden was trained for his work as a preacher of the gospel, at Lexington Kentucky, America. Coming to Australia he spent 3 1/2 years at the Lygon Street Church of Christ. His next appointment was at West London Taberna.de, Notting Hill. From there he returned to Australia, and spent 17 years as preacher of the Enmore Church of Christ, with remarkable success. He has also filled pulpits at Adelaide and Mosman, New South Wales.
The type of man to commend himself to his fellow men, Mr Walden is likely to be as successful in his new sphere as he has proved in the pulpit.

REV. G. T. WALDEN.
JUBILEE YEAR.
The Rev. George T Walden, who for many years was minister at the Church of Christ, Enmore, has returned to Sydney to take part in the services on Sunday next, that will complete his fiftieth year of active association with the Church and its work. Mr. Walden has been resident in South Australia since his return from service with the A.I.F. in the Great War. It has been his desire to celebrate his jubilee in the old home church at Enmore, where he spent 16 years. Many of his old associates have been called together for the occasion. His choristers have decided to return to help in the service of song, and with them will appear the conductor, who has not wielded a baton for 31 years.
