"BLACKMORE.— Killed in action in France, on the 30th September, No. 2111, Lance-Corporal J. H. Blackmore, 56th Battalion, dearly beloved eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Blackmore, of Nailsworth.
A happy boy, so young, so bright;
a heart so full of love.
His duty nobly done.
