Howard Fraser Grant was born in Albury, NSW in 1898 and his NOK was his father, Robert Fraser Grant of Chiltern, later East Malvern.
He joined the AIF on 6/9/1916 in Melbourne and embarked for overseas on HMAT Hororata on 23/11/1916 as part of the 37th Battalion.
He was killed in action at Mont St Quentin on 9/9/1918 and is buried at the Roisel Community Cemetery, South of Cambrai.
