George Cremer HORLEY was born in Islington, London in 1877

His parents were Samuel HORLEY & Thirza CREAMER who married in England in 1875

He married Annie Elizabeth BROWNING in Victoria in 1915 - one son Leslie HORLEY

George first enlisted in 1916 and embarked from Melbourne on 16th December, 1916 with the 37th Infantry Battalion, 6th reinforcements

He returned to Australia in 1917 and was discharged on 10th December, 1917 as medically unfit due to heart disease & was relocated to Home Services

Later George went to Rabaul, New Guinea and died in the Namanula Hospital of Brights disease on 10th March, 1920
