"KILLED AND WOUNDED.
The flags were again at half-mast in Warracknabeal on Wednesday, word having been received by Mr. George Anderson, employed by Messrs. Young Bros., that his son, Henry, had fallen in action. Deceased grew up in Warracknabeal, and as a lad was employed in "The Herald" office. He was away from the town for a time, and immediately after his return enlisted. He saw a good deal of service, and as evidence of his valor, it may be mentioned that he gained the Military Medal. General sympathy will be extended to the relatives in their sorrow." - from the Warracknabeal Herald 20 Sep 1918 (nla.gov.au)
