Son of Alexander McKellar Couper and Elizabeth Ann Couper of Banksia Street. Botany, NSW. Brother of George A. Couper who died of wounds on 6 May 1918 while serving with the 49th Battalion and is buried Pernos British Cemetery. Plot 1, Row C, Grave 5
