Son of Thomas Joseph and Annie Elizabeth Murray.

Military Medal

'Conspicuous courage and devotion to duty under heavy fire and effective handling of machine gun.' (Bullecourt 6 May 1917).'Fearlessness and extremely valuable services as guide and on patrol work.' (East of Ypres 21 September 1917).

Private Norman Murray, son of Mr. T. J. Murray, of Woonona, has been killed in action. He was one of the original Anzacs and was due for leave to return to Australia. He held the M.M. and bar. His brother, Pte. Owen Murray, is serving in Palestine.
