Lt R. Cornish, D.C.M., eldest son of Mr R. Cornish, late of Ballarat, died of wounds on 29th April. He was 25 years of age, and was educated at Humffray street State school, and was a scholar at
the Barkly street Methodist Sunday school. He left Australia on 10th November, 1915, and gained his commission service at Pozieres, Bullecourt, and Bapaume
