Lance Corporal E.F. Boyle who was killed in France on July 20, was the eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. E.F. Boyle, of Lamberdina, Thornleigh Street, Drummoyne. In Sydney, he was employed by F. Lassetter and Co., for 15 years. He took an active part in the various charitable functions organised by the Balmain Bachelors' Society.
