Son of Eli Schofield and Margaret Jane Schofield of 'Fernleigh', Kangaloon, NSW. Brother of Albert Percival Schofield DCM who returned to Australia on 19 June 1919 having served with the 18th Battalion

Roll of Honour Circular information states: - A member and active worker of the Kangaloon Methodist Church. A member of the Board of Directors of the Kangaloon Dairy Company. And interest in any movement for the betterment of the district generally.
