Man Found on River Bank with Arm Cut.
Constable D Parkin of the Roma Street police station, discovered a man with his arm cut on a seat on the river bank at North Quay at 5.30am today. Papers found on his clothing gave the name of Clarence Eric Otto Sachse, 60, but no address, while a safety razor blade was found in a pocket. The pliceman had the ambulance summoned and the man taken to hospital. His condition is not serious. The documents found on him also disclosed taht he had been discharged from an institution in June. (August 1936)
He spent all his life in Queensland and worked as a Civil Servant. Has not worked since the War (WW1). Clarence was an inmate of Dunwich Inebriate Instituation for 6 months - 5 June to 5 December 1900; and admitted to Dunwich Asylum 2nd Mar 1933 and Discharged 5th April 1944.
