Son of Elsa JOHNSEN
Husband of Mrs Phoebe Clara Johnsen, Walford Street, Newtown, Sydney, New South Wales
Served in Gallipoli, Egypt and France. Wounded at Bullecourt and invalided to Rouen Hospital. Appointed light duties at Aust. Comforts Fund. Rejoined his battalion in 1918 and took part in the last battle at Peronne, and returned to havre Base, thence to England and declared medically unfit. Returned to Australia January 16 1919 after 3 years and 7 months abroad.
