14 May 1919: Honoured Military Medal, "The Last Hundred Days", For gallantry and devotion to duty at Mauroy on the afternoon of 29 September 1918 as part of a platoon sent to clear the village. He showed great initiative and daring and was mainly responsible for the success of the operation and the capture of six of the enemy. He killed three of the enemy who made a determined stand.
