"Mrs. Cowser, Lutwyche road, has received the sad news from the military authorities that her son-in-law, private Osmond Muddle, had died of wounds, on 12th October, in a hospital in France. A sad circumstance in this case is that Private Muddle's wife died on 24th September." - from the Brisbane Telegraph 31 Oct 1917 (nla.gov.au)
