Births Jun 1885 Claybyn Thomas Pratt Hertford 3a 479.
He emigrated aged 27, killed aged 31.
His two brothers also fell whilst serving with British forces. They were:
Serjeant Edward Charles Claybyn, Service Number 8199, 1st Battalion, Devonshire Regiment. Killed in action Sunday 11 April 1915. Aged 27. Buried in AEROPLANE CEMETERY, West-Vlaanderen, Belgium. Plot III. Row B. Grave 33.
Corporal William Arthur Claybyn, Service Number 1688, Royal Horse Guards (The Blues). Died of wounds Sunday 18 October 1914. Aged 36. Buried in YPRES TOWN CEMETERY, West-Vlaanderen, Belgium. Row D1. Grave 6.
All three brothers are commemorated on the Axminster War Memorial.
They were sons of Ephraim and Sarah Jane Claybyn [she died aged 49 at Axminster in 1900] of 3, Trinity Terrace, Axminster, Devon, England.
