Son of Alexander and Elizabeth McLEOD, The Police Station, Daylesford, Victoria

Private Alexander John McLeod (killed in action) was the eldest son of Senior-Constable McLeod of Yarram, and was 19 years of age.  He was engaged in clerical work in Melbourne before joining the colours.  Another son, Private L.J. McLeod, died recently while on his way to the front.
