Biography

Lancelot Mark ADDISON was born on 15th December, 1872 in Tenterfield, NSW

His parents were Glentworth Walsh Fraser ADDISON and Ellen CAMPBELL

Lancelot was a member of the NSW Bar Association and was admitted to the Bar in 1908

He enlisted as a Private with the 8th Field Ambulance which embarked from Melbourne on HMAT Ascanius on 10th November, 1915 - Service No. 7241

He rose through the ranks to Captain in the AA Provost Corp and was awarded a Member of the Order of the British Empire and also received the 1914-15 Star, British War medal and Victory medal

He returned to Australia on the 18th July, 1919

His brother Leonard Walter ADDISON  S/N 60091 also served in WW1

Lancelot died on 28th March, 1944 in Manly and is buried in Macquarie Park Cemetery in North Ryde, NSW  -Anglican section, row K8 Plot 0043
