Private R. G. A. THOMAS, second son of Mr. and Mrs. W. Thomas, of Binnum, was killed in action on October 8. . He was the brother of the late Private W. F. H. Thomas. He was educated at the Bordertown, Coonalpyn, and Frances public schools. He sailed for England on June 24, 1916, and embarked for France on September 15. After being in the trenches for a few weeks he was sent to a rest camp with trench feet. He again went into the trenches, and after serving for some time was sent to a hospital in England suffering from trench feet for the second time. He had returned to the front a few months when he made the supreme sacrifice. He was 20 years of age. This is the second son Mr. and Mrs. Thomas have lost in the war within 14 months.
