Son of Walter George Vincent and Mary Elizabeth Vincent nee Lamont of Isabella Grove, Hawthorn, Victoria.

Brother of Oscar Vincent who returned to Australia on 14 April 1919 having served with the 30th Battalion and Walter Vincent who was killed in action at Mont St. Quentin on 1 September 1918 while serving with the 23rd Battalion. Buried in Peroone Communal Cemetery Extension, Plot V, Row A, Grave 11
