Son of William Henry and Rosalind Hayward, of 12, Heeley St., Paddington, New South Wales.
Twice wounded in Gallipoli, served in France and was with his unit at the signing of the Armistice.
HAYWARD.-April 1, 1927, at Prince of Wales Military Hospital, Randwick, Rex Douglas Hayward, late of 4th and 56th Battalions, A.I.F., dearly beloved husband of May and father of Laurie and Iris aged 29 years.
