Walter raised his age slightly so he could enlist for service in WW1 and then many years later, in wishing to serve again, he dropped his age by a few years so he could enlist for service in WW2. Biography

Walter raised his age slightly so he could enlist for service in WW1 and then many years later, in wishing to serve again, he dropped his age by a few years so he could enlist for service in WW2. Walter died as a Japanese prisoner of war in South East Asia on 28 May 1943.
