Husband of Rubina Cooper nee MacCulloch of Regent Street, Paddington, NSW. Oswald and Rubina were married during 1910c at Paddington, NSW

At the time of enlistment he was employed by the Australian Bank in Inverells, NSW

On 4 December 1920 he commenced return to Australia oboard HT Bahia Castillo disembarking on 15 Febraury 1921
