"THE LATE PRIVATE F. H. WEBB.
Private George F. H. Webb, who died of wounds at the 11th Stationary Hospital, France, on November 15, was the son of Mr. and Mrs. George Webb, of Fulton-street. Glenelg, and was 30 years of age. He was employed in the railway service prior to enlisting, and was for eight years stationed at Denial Bay (West Coast). Subsequently he was in the Loxton district. He went away on March 29 of this year as member of the 16th Reinforcements of the 10th Battalion. He was a member of the South Australian Government Workers' Union, and was very popular. He was also a member of the Glenelg branch of the Oddfellows' Lodge. He was highly esteemed by a large circle of friends." - from the Adelaide Chronicle 09 Dec 1916 (nla.gov.au)
