1 Feb 1919: Honoured Military Cross, "The Last Hundred Days", For great fearlessness and devotion to duty on the morning of 6 September 1918, west of Tincourt, during operations on a wood and over water-logged ground, Captain Keatinge after reconnoitring the position under heavy machine gun and sniper fire disposed his company to the two flanks of the enemy to deal with the situation. It was greatly due to his skilful handling of his men during this difficult and dangerous task that the situation was cleared and the advance continued. By his coolness and disregard for personal safety he set a fine example to the whole of his Company.
