Son of Alexander Urquhart and Sarah Ellen Urquhart of Ponds Road, Peakhurst, NSW
18 September 1916 - enlisted at Sydney,NSW, with the 59th Battalion and with the rank of Private.
14 July 1918 - promoted to Lance Corporal
5 July 1919 - commenced return to Australia aboard HT Port Melbourne disembarking on 20 August 1919 at Melbourne for onward travel to Sydney
Medals: British War Medal, Victory Medal
28 September 1919 - discharged at the 2nd Military District
During 1923c Charles married Maud W. Clark in Auburn, NSW
