    John was born as John McMurchie COLQUHOUN in Melbourne in 1872

    His parents were Robert COLQUHOUN and Elizabeth TURNER

    He was 4 years older than his stated age of 38 when he enlisted in 1914

    John married Adeline Elizabeth HARRISON in 1897 in Victoria and had four daughters, Ethel Myrtle who died as a baby, Minnie Isabel, Edith Florence & Rosina Agnes
