Son of John Coffey and Susannah Coffey nee Pemberton of Friezland, QLD.
Commenced return to Australia on 24 January 1918 as wounded aboard HS Dunluce Castle.
Medals: British War Medal, Victory Medal.
On 22 April 1922 Francis married Margaret Thompson in Queensland.
