Tom went to war because his underage son Thomas Henry Ingrams enlisted. His other son Charles had died in 1910. He hurt his back when he arrived in France, and was on the boat back to Australia when Thomas his son, was killed. Please refer to Thomas Henry Inghams in this database. As he and his wife Margaret never had any other children, they became adopted family to James Craker's family. Tom and James served together for that short time. Refer to James Craker and Walter Samuel Thomas Clark on this database.
After the war Tom was elected to Warwick Town Council and served as a Councillor for many years.
