Personal Stories
History
James Belmore McGill (my Great-Uncle) was the brother of my Grandmother Lily Jane Fagan nee McGill and the son of Thomas and Margaret McGill. He was the winner of the Military Medal awarded for actions as a stretcher bearer in the Great War. Sadly like many Australian soldiers he was hospitalized after being subject to a gas attack. His health deteriorated and he became a TPI pensioner passing away in 1939. Lest We Forget 🇦🇺
