Described on enlisting as 20 years 2 months old; single; 5' 6 1/2" tall;  139 lbs; medium
complexion; brown eyes; brown hair;  Congregational.

30/10/1916      Enlisted in Adelaide

12/10/1916      Completed medical - fit for service

14/11/1916      Commanding Officer appointed Lindsay to 6th reinforcements, 43rd Battalion

16/12/1916      Embarked from Outer Harbour, Port Adelaide on board HMAT A35 Berrima
                        as a Private in 43rd Battalion, 6th reinforcements
16/2/1917        disembarked to Devonport, England

 

 

2/9/1918          Wounded in action
9/9/1918          Invalided to England

14/12/1918      Returned to Australia - injured with gun shot wound to left arm,
