Harold's parents were Frederick Charles Hosier and Margaret Buchanan. Harold attended North Pine State School. He was working as a Railway Employee at Wooloowin when he enlisted on 24 December 1915. Harold married Mabel Elsie Elizabeth Wyllie in 1920 at Brisbane. The Wyllie family was pioneers of North Pine. Harold and his wife were living at Maree in 1925, from there they moved to Townsville, then Nundah before settling at Wooloowin. Harold died aged 89.
