24 Januaray 1918 - returned to Australia on board the Karoola, this is not certain as orginally he was destined to return on the Dunluce Castle

His family lost contact with after returning to Australia, place of death is unknown. Prior to enlisted his address was Crown Hotel, Kalgoolie, WA. Most of his family resided in in South Australia
