His name has been inscribed on the St. Mary's-Marist Bros' School (Newcastle) Honour Roll.

Stephen and younger brother Thomas Aloysius Doyle (Reg No-5727, 1st Australian Tunnelling Company, born 1893, died 1931), were resting together in an unmarked grave, forgotten, so December 2014 and September 2016 I placed crosses adorned with poppies in remembrance of their service for God, King and Country.

I submitted applications for Commonwealth War Graves Plaques, curbing and marble chip January 2019, and these were accepted February 2019. Completed July 2019.
