Michael James Bailey served at the Anzac landing 25 April 1915 and was killed in action during the ill-fated attack on Hill 60 during August 1915.

Brother of 1286 John (Jack) Bailey 3rd Battalion AIF who was badly wounded just after the Gallipoli landing, shot through the hip and shoulder. Jack was returned to Australia due to a compound fracture of the pelvis in October 1915. He died in 1931 aged 38.

Brother of 291 Joseph Bailey 3rd Battalion AIF, also present at the Gallipoli landing and was wounded at Lone Pine during August 1915 and evacuated to England, returned to Australia in 1918.

Brother of 1404 Sapper Francis Gerald Bailey who served with the Australian Electrical and Mechanical Mining and Boring Company (known as the ‘alphabet company’ to the infantry). Returned to Australia during 1919.

Brother of 6936 Private Albert Victor Bailey 2nd Divisional Signal Company AIF, returned to Australia 1919.
