Add my storyBiography contributed by Faithe Jones
Arthur fought with Breaker Morant's regiment in the South African Boer War before again enlisting this time with the 10th Light Horse where he won a Military Cross. Six months after taking up the farm he married Flroence Kenworthy and they had three children, Miles, Joyce and John.
Military Cross
'For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty. He brought his troops into action against an ammunition convoy under heavy machine gun fire. He drove off the drivers and then dashed into the midst of the convoy and captured it. His gallant bearing was an inspiration to all ranks.'
