He was born as Wallace BOSWOOD in Sydney, NSW in 1894 although on another war record he stated he was born in Hobart, Tasmania (his birth is registered in NSW)

His parents were Arthur BOSWOOD and Eliza Jane WILLIAMS

He first enlisted on 28th August, 1914 and returned to Australia on 3rd February, 1915 and was discharged on 4th April, 1915 as medically unfit

He re-enlisted on 21st June 1915 under a different name & birthplace

Wallace died of wounds in France on 4th September, 1916 and is buried in the Abbeville Communal Cemetery
