PTE. ARCHIE J. J. JEROMESON.
Aged 16. He stowed away when 15, and has. been fighting at the front with the AIF. for over a year. Was sent to France in the 2nd Battalion AIF., where he was buried by a shell
and badly wounded. Invalided to England until August last, he was then sent to France again and was gassed and wounded at the Somme the following month. He was sent out again to France in November, where he remained in action until January, 1917.
He was then removed at his parents' request, to be returned to Australia on account of his age. He had then to rest with trench feet, having stood in the first line of trenches under heavy bombardment. The plucky lad is the only child of Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Jeromeson, Rose-street, Cottesloe. His father has enlisted to take his place, and is now at Blackboy Hill.
