When Donald William DRYSDALE was born on 4 May 1882 in Yea, Victoria, his father, John, was 55 and his mother, Annie, was 28. He married Jean Olive Thompson in May 1919. They had four children during their marriage. He died on 28 September 1972 in his hometown at the age of 90.

Mr Donald Drysdale has returned to Yea after a lengthy sojourn in Westralia. His return will be learned with pleasure by members of the local foot- ball club, and local troop A.L.H. both of which he was a popular member.

A very pretty and popular military wedding took place in the Yea Presbyterian Church on the 30th April, the contracting parties being Miss Olive Jean Thomson, eldest daughter of Mr J. Thomson, of Western Australia, and Lieut. Donald W. Drysdale (an Anzac)
