VALE HAROLD FARRANT...
In the early hours of Sunday morning an identity of the Borden townsite, Harold Lascelles Farrant, passed away suddenly at his home. Having operated a garage at Borden for many years he was well known throughout the district By reason of his having had attended the dance the same night in the best of spirits, news of his death at the age ot 53 years came as a sad shock to his many friends. The deceased leaves a wife and four daughters to mourn his passing.
On Monday afternoon a large number of District residents followed his remains to the Gnowangerup Cemetery where they were borne to their last resting place by Messrs. Heron (Perth), H. J.C. Hanraban (Albany), F. E. Wilson (Tambellup), R. C. Austin, N. B. Drummond and Tom Wilkinson.. Rev. Tiller performed the last rites and the funeral arrangements were in the hands of C.E Courtis & Co.
