Son of Walter George Vincent ans Mary Elizabeth Vincent nee Lamont of sabella Grove, Hawthorn, Victoria.
Brother of Oscar Vincent who returned to Australia on 14 April 1919 having served with the 30th Battalion and Walter Vincent who was killed in action at Mont St. Quentin on 1 September 1918 while serving with the 23rd Battalion. Buried in Peroone Communal Cemetery Extension, Plot V, Row A, Grave 11 and Brother of Garnet Vincent who returned to Australia on 15 March 1916 having served with the 3rd Battalion.
Prior to enlisting Dudley had previously served in the Royal Australian Naval Reserves for four years

During 1925c Dudley married Elizabeth Marjory Lancaster in Victoria. Later remarried to Alison Mary McMeiken in 1947c. In 1969 Dudley was residing in Kingsway Street, Nedlands, WA.
